SAMBHAR
Ingredients:- ▪ Tuvar dal -1/2 cup ▪ F enugreek seeds - 1/2 teaspoon ▪ U rad dal - 1 teaspoon ▪ R ed chillies - 6 ▪ C oriander seeds - 1 1/2 tablespoons ▪ C urry leaves - 5 springs ▪ C oconut - 1/4 cup ▪ S hallot onions(small red onions called sambar onions in india) - 25-30 ▪ M ustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon ▪ H ing - 1 pinch ▪ G reen chillies - 2 ▪ V egetables of choice(brinjals , carrots, french, beans, pumpkin, yam) ▪ T amarind pulp - lemon sized ball of tamarind soaked in 1/3 of water. ▪ S alt - 1/4 teaspoon ▪ J aggery or brown sugar - 1 1/2 teaspoons ▪ O li - 2 tbsp
